Get Me Seen July 3, 2021 0 Comments

The popularity of the term ‘SEO’ is on the rise. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization; it is implied on websites to rank on search engines. But that is not all about it. SEO is very deep, and in this article, I am going to tell you everything you need to know About Search Engine Optimization.

I am an SEO expert myself, and I have been enjoying my job for the last five years. So whatever you will learn from this article will be on a first-hand basis. So without wasting any further time, let us take a closer look at SEO and understand the specificities of this term.

What Does SEO Stand For?

What Does SEO Stand For - Search Engine Optimization

Talking about what SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In simple words, SEO is the technique in which you can get traffic and rank your website on Google. Some of the jobs that you need to do in order to make your website SEO optimized are providing quality content, using backlinks, maintaining the proper density of the focus keyword.

When you search for something on Google, you get a million results. But there are only a few sites that come on the first page. This happens because those sites have implemented proper SEO techniques. How well a site is SEO Optimized depends on Google. There are some factors that Google takes into account.

1. Domain Authority

The more accurate Google thinks your website to be, the more domain authority you get. Now you may be wondering how Google decides it. Google actually decides it by checking the number of links you have on that page. All in all, you need to ensure the webpage has the maximum amount of links; only then is it going to rank higher.

2. Relevancy

This is the single most important factor that Google takes into account. When your search for computers, do you get images of phones? I do not think so. You do not get pictures of computers because they are not relevant. Google takes a look at your keywords.

3. Practicality

The content of your website can both be authoritative and relevant, but Google will not rank them until and unless it is not practical. There is a very thin line between quality content and useful content. For instance, you have written high-quality technical content, but most people are not able to understand the jargon used, then Google is not going to rank your webpage.

I hope by now you have got the basic idea of search engine optimization and what factors Google takes into account for ranking blogs and articles. Now let us take a closer look at the different kinds of SEO.

What Are The Different Kinds Of SEOs?

What Are The Different Kinds Of SEOs?

There are mainly seven kinds of SEOs. Understanding the different types of SEOs will help you get a clearer knowledge about them.

1. White Hat SEO

White Hat SEO consists of the techniques that come under Google’s guidelines. When you use White Hat Seo, you have to be patient because you won’t be seeing the result anytime soon. One of the advantages of implementing White SEO is that you have a peaceful sleep as you do not have to worry about your site getting banned.

White hat SEO consists of low risk and high rewards. Some of the major examples of white hat SEO are providing quality content for your webpage, maintaining proper keyword density, linking with sites with high Domain Authority.

2. Black Hat SEO

Whatever you just read in White Hat Seo, blackhat SEO is exactly the opposite. People suing blackhat SEO take the advantage of the loopholes in Google’s algorithm.

I would not suggest any person ever use black Hat SEO as using black hat SEO can get your site banned permanently. And it can also give you a spam score. Furthermore, the results achieved using Black Hat SEO are very short-lived.

3. Grey Hat SEO

Grey hat SEO is a mixture of both white hat SEO and black hat SEO. This kind of search engine optimization is mostly used by marketing agencies when they are under pressure to provide results from some clients. Google does not specifically say that grey hat approaches are prohibited, but it does not say it is allowed.

There is a grey area. One of the popular techniques of implementing grey hat SEOs is using clickbait titles. As a Search Engine Optimization Expert, I would not suggest anyone use Grey Hat SEO.

4. Negative SEO

Negative SEOs are those search engine optimization techniques that are strictly illegal. Negative SEO is done with the sole intention of getting your competitor’s website down. Using Negative SEOs can land you in serious trouble.

It basically means hacking into someone’s website and creating low links so that the ranking of the website gets affected.

5. On-Page SEO

On-Page SEO consists of creating high-quality content with the hope that your article gets ranked in the search engines.

It also includes linking your article to a lot of authoritative websites to get good results.

6. Off-Page SEO

All the Search Engine Optimization techniques implemented outside of your page are called off-page SEO. It includes working on external ranking factors. It includes link building from another trusted website.

It also includes asking your audience to give positive feedback and reviews on your website and asking them to engage more.

7. Technical SEO

Technical SEO consists of all the technical factors of search engine optimization. This helps the crawlers to successfully crawl up to your website.

Technical SEO is one of the most important kinds of SEO. If technical SEO and On-page SEO are brought to the same table, then wonderful results are produced.
